Betty Ivanoff, Chairperson

Ms Ivanoff was appointed as Chairperson of Paradise Beverages on 1 May 2019.

Skills and Experience: Ms Ivanoff is the Group Director of Legal & Corporate Affairs at Coca-Cola Amatil. Ms Ivanoff joined Amatil as Group General Counsel in April 2016, leading the legal and company secretariat teams across Amatil's markets and operations. In September 2016 Ms Ivanoff was also appointed as Company Secretary. Since November 2019, her role was expanded to include leadership of Group Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability function.

Prior to joining Coca-Cola Amatil, Betty was the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary for GrainCorp Limited from 2008 and built the first legal and compliance team for the company, leading them through a period of vast growth and diversity, spanning many countries. Betty previously held internal corporate counsel positions with companies including CSR Limited, Walter Constructions and Sinclair Knight Merz.

Degrees: Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney.

Government and Community Involvement: Ms Ivanoff is an active member of the International Bar Association (IBA), Australian Corporate Counsel (ACC), and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Cecil Browne, Non-Executive Director

Joined the Board in 2009.

Mr Browne has extensive experience in the Banking and Finance sector, having worked for Barclays and ANZ Banks for a total of 35 years.  His experience was largely in Fiji, with international work attachments in London, Melbourne, Solomon Islands, Cook Islands and East Timor.  He has held various senior executive positions with ANZ Bank, including Deputy General Manager, ANZ Fiji and Head of Business Banking, rising to the role of Deputy General Manager, ANZ Fiji and Head of Corporate Banking. He opted for retirement in 2009, then joined the Bank of the South Pacific (BSP) as General Manager Retail. He currently holds the position of General Manager Corporate and International at BSP.

Gardiner Whiteside, Non-Executive Director

Appointed in 2011.

Mr. Whiteside is a Certified Public Accountant and has been in public practice in Fiji for over 30 years.  He was previously a Partner in the Fiji representative firm of Deloitte & Touche, before establishing G.H. Whiteside & Company in 1996.

He has had many years of experience as a Board Member in local companies, as well as statutory and commercial entities.  These included service as an Administrator of the Nausori Town Council, a member of the Transport Control Board, a director of Fiji Post & Telecommunications Limited and Chairman of Copra Millers Limited. He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants

Chris Litchfield, Managing Director of New Zealand & Fiji

Mr Chris Litchfield has 26 years’ experience with Amatil and is currently the Managing Director of New Zealand & Fiji.

Chris has a proven track record of strong business leadership, customer management, new business acquisition and commercial planning.

As Managing Director of New Zealand & Fiji, Chris has lead a highly engaged workforce to deliver five years of profit growth.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Canterbury University.

Roger Hare, General Manager-Pacific Islands

Mr Roger Hare has been with Amatil for over 25 years and is the General Manager of Amatil’s beverages business in Fiji. 

Under Roger’s leadership, this business has been recognized as the fastest growing Coca-Cola Company bottler in the Pacific and the 2nd fastest growing Coca-Cola Company territory in the

Asia Pacific region. Roger holds a Bachelor of Commerce (ACA) majoring in Accountancy from Canterbury University.
