Espresso Par-tini for Fiji International 2017

Fiji’s leading beverages company Paradise Beverages has created a new signature cocktail called the Espresso Par-tini in honour of the Fiji International, which tees off on August 17.

Fiji’s leading beverages company Paradise Beverages has created a new signature cocktail called the Espresso Par-tini in honour of the Fiji International, which tees off on August 17.

"Paradise Beverages is proud to have been associated with golf in Fiji for over 20 years and the Fiji International is a great platform to showcase Fiji’s brands to the world,” said Rowena Taito, the company’s Head of Marketing & New Product Development.

“This year we’ll be showcasing our award-winning range of Rum Co. of Fiji rums and liqueurs, and what better way to share passion for our brands and golf than by creating a fun, golf-inspired cocktail for the event.”

For those who prefer a refreshing beer, Paradise Beverages will also be pouring its most popular beer brand, Fiji Gold, which is now being exported to China, Korea, Samoa and New Zealand.

The Espresso Par-tini is a sumptuous mix of the newly launched Grinders Coffee X-tract, award-winning Katia Triple Distilled Vodka and Rum Co. of Fiji Coffee Liqueur.

It’s the latest invention from Rum Co. of Fiji mixologist Alipate Laveti, who has been creating bespoke cocktails for the event for the past three years. “Last year we had the Paradise Eagle which was a rich and complex blend of Rum Co. of Fiji Coffee Liqueur, 8-year old White Rum mixed with fresh lime juice.

“Previous cocktails had tropical flavours but this year we’ve decided to follow the Espresso Martini global trend,” he said. “We are also using and showcasing the new Grinders Coffee X-tract which is based on a 100% pure extract of whole single origin Colombian beans and contains no additives. The flavour profile is of rich chocolate and hazelnuts and the extract is made by the Australian-based Grinders Coffee company, another business within the Coca-Cola Amatil Group.”

Said Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa Director of Dining and Entertainment, Craig Wood, “It’s exciting that we get to showcase this cocktail with Rum Co. of Fiji and coffee at any time of the day and it is definitely going to be a hit.”

The venue’s Assistant Outlet Manager, Penjamini Cokotuiqele, added, “This cocktail is delicious and attractive and I’m sure people will love it. The Espresso Par-tini will be served at Fiji International event functions including the tournament welcome dinner.”
