Paradise Beverages celebrated 40 years

Fiji’s largest alcoholic beverages manufacturer, Paradise Beverages (Fiji) Limited hosted its Bounty Rum 40th Anniversary celebration in style with employees, guests and relevant stakeholders at Rum Co. of Fiji, Navutu Rd, Lautoka.

The event saw the employees of Rum Co. of Fiji including our chief guest, the CEO of Lautoka City Council Jone Nakauvadra and ex-employees enjoy a wonderful afternoon celebrating this great milestone for Lautoka and for Fiji.

Paradise Beverages General Manager Mike Spencer said it was a great pleasure to celebrate the 40th Anniversary making world class rums. “It started in 1979 when our neighbors, the Fiji Sugar Corporation, started South Pacific Distilleries (SPD). The first spirit to be created was Booth’s Gin which was quickly followed by Fiji’s most recognized spirit, Bounty Dark Rum,” Spencer said. “40 years of operation is very a very significant milestone for any business in Fiji especially in the same location.”

General Manager Sales and Corporate Affairs, Joe Rodan has seen a tremendous amount of progress at the South Pacific Distillery during his 32 years at ParadiseBeverages. “I’ve transitioned with the company from the days it was Carlton United Breweries to Fosters and now Paradise Beverages. During my time, I’ve seen new spirits added to the portfolio, sales increasing, international award wins and marketing improving. It can only get better,” Rodan said.

To date, we have a total of 115 international awards, 43 of which were awarded to Bounty Rum which ties into the Paradise Beverages mission of ‘Creating Worldclass beverages’
