Joined the Board in 2009.

 

Mr Browne has extensive experience in the Banking and Finance sector, having worked for Barclays and ANZ Banks for a total of 35 years.  His experience was largely in Fiji, with international work attachments in London, Melbourne, Solomon Islands, Cook Islands and East Timor.  He has held various senior executive positions with ANZ Bank, including Deputy General Manager, ANZ Fiji and Head of Business Banking, rising to the role of Deputy General Manager, ANZ Fiji and Head of Corporate Banking. He opted for retirement in 2009, then joined the Bank of the South Pacific (BSP) as General Manager Retail. He currently holds the position of General Manager Corporate and International at BSP.

Mike Spencer’s career in the brewing and hospitality industries spans over 35 years.  He commenced with Carlton and United Breweries (CUB) in 1986 as a senior member of the brewing and production team in New South Wales.  During his 17 years with CUB, Mike held senior roles in Operations and Sales.  His experience included three years managing CUB's brewing operations in Fiji in the mid 90’s, and a two-year tenure as Head Brewer at CUB's largest brewery in Abbotsford, Victoria.

Mike was a member of the team that carried out due diligence of Fosters in Fiji, on behalf of CCA and subsequently was appointed Head of Operations for Paradise Beverages when the business was formed on September 8, 2012.  Mike was appointed Acting General Manager in October 2016 and took on the full role of General Manager in April 2017.

 

Mr Spencer holds a B.E. (Mech) and is a member of Institute of Brewing & Distilling (IBD) and the Master Brewers Association of the Americas (MBAA)

Appointed in 2011.

 

Mr. Whiteside is a Certified Public Accountant and has been in public practice in Fiji for over 30 years.  He was previously a Partner in the Fiji representative firm of Deloitte & Touche, before establishing G.H. Whiteside & Company in 1996.

 

He has had many years of experience as a Board Member in local companies, as well as statutory and commercial entities.  These included service as an Administrator of the Nausori Town Council, a member of the Transport Control Board, a director of Fiji Post & Telecommunications Limited and Chairman of Copra Millers Limited. He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants

George Forster - Former General Counsel of Coca-Cola Amatil Navigation Show below Hide below

Appointed in 2005.

 

Mr Forster joined Coca-Cola Amati in April 2005 as General Counsel.  He was appointed Company Secretary in February 2007 and retired from these roles in July 2016. He had over thirty years’ experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer, including having been a partner of commercial law firm, Freehills in Sydney.  Mr Forster has a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce (University of New South Wales).

Shane Richardson - Managing Director of Alcohol & Coffee, Coca-Cola Amatil Navigation Show below Hide below

Appointed in 2013.

 

Mr Richardson began his career in the beverage industry over 23 years ago and has gained significant experience in both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic sectors. Prior to joining Coca-Cola Amatil, Shane was the Managing Director of Campari Australia where he led the business to a period of strong market and financial performance.

He also held a number of senior management roles within the Fosters business and is well respected for his ability to lead high performance teams to deliver impressive results.  He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing.

Alex Nario - Chief Financial Officer, Alcohol & Coffee, Coca-Cola Amatil Navigation Show below Hide below

Appointed in 2015.

 Mr Nario was appointed to his current role in January 2015 and has had 25 years of experience in the Coke system.  Having started with The Coca-Cola Company back in 1990, in 1994 he joined Amatil supporting the Australasia and Europe division, including spending time in the Ukraine and Romania.  

Returning to Australasia, Alex held a number of roles, including Head of Commercial Strategy and Partners for Amatil’s Australian Beverages team, where he gained extensive experience in the commercial areas of sales, supply chain and mergers and acquisitions, as well as managing key partner relationships.  He holds a Bachelor of Economics (University of Sydney) and is a member of the CPA Australia.
